Vickie Kivett and her husband Rick reside in Martinsville. They are the parents of Daphne and Erick, and grandparents of Kate.

Vickie spent twenty seven years in county government, and she was elected Recorder and County Clerk. Her motto was to spend public money as conservatively as she does her own.

Vickie received the 2005 Outstanding Election Administrator Award the Indiana Election Division. She received the 2006 Indiana Circuit Court Clerk of the Year from the Indiana Clerks Association.

Vickie is proud that upgrades in voter turn out and modern voting equipment punctuated her eight years of service. The “easy elections” in MorganCounty contrast with the gross mismanagement in some other counties. Hence, Morgan County has fair and impartial elections dependably.

Kappa Kappa Sigma, Morgan County Fair Board, 4-H Association, and Morgan County Antique Association also benefit from Vickie’s leadership and willingness to give of herself and her time. She was also active in the Indiana Recorders Association, Indiana Clerks Association, the Indiana Voter Registration Association, and the Republican Womans Association.

Vickie enjoys attending auctions, genealogy, traveling, scrap booking, and, of course, working on candidate campaigns.
